The Social Security journal is devoted to the entire range of topics that are on the social agenda of Israel, and that are relevant to the population at large as well as to the various sub-populations within the country. Emphasis is placed on policy in the various social spheres aimed at guaranteeing the welfare of Israel''s citizens. The journal refers both to historical and theoretical aspects of social policy and to the lessons to be learned from applications in the field, based on findings of empirical research with relevance to policy-making. The journal appears three times a year. Most of its articles are written by Israeli authors who are experts in their fields. Some of them were referred to the Editorial Board of the Journal by professionals abroad interested in presenting their research to Israeli readers. The journal also serves as a forum for reactions to the articles published therein.
