The Journal is published twice a year since January 2006. It focuses on the Israeli society. It deals with current issues and problems as well as with historical events bearing on the present. The journal publishes outstanding and original peer-reviewed works of interest to social scientists. It accepts both theoretical papers as well as results of research that enhance understanding of the Israeli society. It covers issues dealing with the stratification system, the interplay between religion and State, national, ethnic and communal tensions, poverty, political cleavages, minority groups, social deviance, education, labour, etc. The Journal accepts articles which report findings using both quantitative as well as qualitative research methods. It contains book reviews section as well as spotlight on new books dealing with the Israeli society.
