The Journal of the Association for Consumer Research is a quarterly journal of thematic explorations from the Association for Consumer Research. The mission of JACR is to broaden the intellectual scope and interdisciplinary influence of the Association for Consumer Research.
Each issue of Journal of the Association for Consumer Research (JACR) offers a thematic exploration of an important topic led by a team of knowledgeable and committed editors. The goals of JACR are: To excite by allowing outstanding guest editors to integrate new research that has broad theoretical and practical implications. To inform by showcasing different methodologies and frameworks needed to answer each broad thematic question. JACR issue editors are free to pit conflicting views against each other and to invite special notes and commentaries from outstanding scholars. To expand intellectual boundaries by identifying interdisciplinary overlaps and defining research opportunities between ACR scholars and those in related fields.
