Aim & Scope
The Journal of Human Transcriptome is an Open Access, online-only, peer reviewed journal. It is a forum for dissemination of research focused on exploration of genome-wide aspect of transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in human cells and tissues in health and disease. This includes but is not limited to:
Pervasive transcription, including long non-coding RNAs and microRNAs;
Epigenetic control of transcription;
Application of high-throughput techniques, including next-generation DNA sequencing and microarrays, in exploration of human transcriptome;
The role of transcriptome in the pathomechanism of human diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases;
Comparative transcriptomics;
Single-cell transcriptomics; e.g., within brain tissue;
Functional genomics for identification of genes playing a central role in control of the transcriptome;
Reports on technology developments toward better exploration of global gene expression in human systems;
Systems biology of the human transcriptome.
