Systematic theology is at the leading edge of contemporary academic theology both in North America and Britain. The discipline which is concerned with the constructive articulation of the meaning coherence and implications of Christian claims has undergone a remarkable transformation in the last two decades and is now firmly established as a central area of teaching and research. Until now no English-language journal has focused on making available high-calibre constructive Christian theology. The International Journal of Systematic Theology will be devoted to publishing the best new work in the discipline and to reviewing major new works of scholarship. The international editorial team is supported by an editorial board composed of leading North American British and European systematic theologians. The Editorial Board is: broad-based and international composed both of leading figures in the discipline in Britain North American and Europe and of significant younger scholars. composed of those who have commitment to and enthusiasm for the ethos of IJST intentionally diverse to ensure representation of the different academic and ecclesial communities with a strong commitment to the revival of systematic theology. Call for Papers International Journal of Systematic Theology aims to publish articles of the highest quality in the area of constructive Christian theology. Its core concern is the articulation of Christian belief both in terms of its inner content and its implications for the wider sphere of culture. The journal is particularly interested in contributions which discuss substantive rather than methodological issues. Although doctrine is thus the primary concern the journal on occasion publishes articles treating the doctrinal aspects of historical theology ethics and philosophy of religion.
