Der Globusfreund. Wissenschaftliche Zeitschrift für Globenkunde (ISSN 0436-0664) is a scholarly periodical, devoted exclusively to research work on old and modern terrestrial and celestial globes, lunar globes and globes of planets as well on globe related instruments. It was founded by the Coronelli-World League of Friends of the Globe (now International Coronelli Society for the Study of Globes) in Vienna, Austria, in 1952. Articles are basically in German with abstracts in English. Numerous issues published before 2002 contain (partly abridged) translations in English. All issues are illustrated, the older ones only in black and white.
